The tourism sector starts the year with 2.93 million employees, 5.3% more than in the first quarter of 2025

In the first quarter of 2026 there were 146,631 more employees in tourism activities than in the same period of the previous year. Moreover, the temporary employment rate in the tourism sector fell by 1.1% to 13.7%, lower than the temporary employment rate for the national economy as a whole, which stands at 14.8%.
