The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, attended the central ADIF Traffic Regulation Centre (Spanish acronym: CRC) on Thursday morning, accompanied by the Minister for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, José Luis Ábalos, at Madrid-Puerta de Atocha train station, where railway traffic that runs on the high-speed network is controlled from, which managed to restore practically all services barely 24 hours after the snowstorm.

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, accompanied by the Minister for Defence, Margarita Robles, met with the Chief of the Defence Staff, General Miguel Ángel Villarroya, and the Chiefs of Staff of the Army, General Francisco Javier Varela, of the Air Force, General Javier Salto Martínez-Avial and of the Navy, Admiral General Teodoro López Calderón.

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, attended the facilities of the Directorate-General of Civil Protection, from where the actions of all the public authorities involved in the response to the storm and the cold snap are run and coordinated, to guarantee personal safety and ensure the operation of essential services and critical infrastructures.
