    The European Commission approves Spain's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan

    The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has met the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in Madrid following the approval of the Spanish Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The Commission has approved the Recovery Plan presented by Spain involving 69.5 billion euros in direct transfers, which can be extended to more than 140 billion euros in loans, if necessary, until 2026.

    The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has met with the President of the Republic of Korea, Moon Jae-in, who has been on a three-day state visit to Spain since yesterday. Sánchez and Moon Jae-in discussed the deep and wide-ranging bilateral relations, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields, and confirmed that the two countries could expand their collaboration in renewable energies, infrastructure and sustainable agri-food.

    NATO has announced that Spain will host its next summit in 2022

    The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has taken part in the NATO Summit, a meeting in which the 30 allies endorsed 'NATO 2030', a document to achieve a more political and militarily stronger and more global organisation to face the threats and challenges of the new strategic context, and have debated Russia, China and Afghanistan.
