    The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, visited the 'Don Bosco' Salesian School in the district of Lixeira, in the capital of Angola, run by the Spanish priest, Manuel Ordóñez, which organises activities particularly aimed at literacy, vocational training and care for children at risk.

    Pedro Sánchez advocates Spain's strategic association with Africa in Angola

    The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, visited Angola, the first destination on his African tour that began on Thursday, which will also take him to Senegal - two priority countries in the Foreign Action Plan recently presented at "Focus on Africa 2023", with the aim of stepping up collaboration with African governments and of enhancing Spain's presence in Africa through a genuine strategic association with the continent.

    Nadia Calviño will become the Second Vice-President of the Government and Minister for Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. Yolanda Díaz will become the Third Vice-President of the Government, replacing Pablo Iglesias, while maintaining her portfolio at the Ministry of Work and Social Economy. Ione Belarra will take on the portfolio of the Ministry of Social Rights and 2030 Agenda. Spain thus becomes the sixth-ranked country in the world in terms of the proportion of women in the government and the fourth in the European Union.
