Spanish companies obtain more than 340 million euros in contracts under ITER programme

In 2020, Spanish industry obtained more than 40 contracts with a high technological value for the construction of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project - an experimental reactor that is considered to be the largest scientific project in the history of mankind. The total amount of these contracts is more than 340 million euros.

Ministry of Tourism launches National Xacobeo Plan 2021-2022

The Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, took part in the meeting to prepare the National Xacobeo Tourism Plan 2021-2022, which seeks to act as a driver to reactivate this tourism destination and bolster St James's Way, thus generating a unique product which will be a great tourism and personal experience.

Spanish exports from agri-food and fisheries sector rose by 2.7% from April to December 2020

Spanish exports from the agri-food, fisheries and forestry sector amounted to 41 billion euros in the period from April to December 2020, compared with 39.91 billion euros in the same period of 2019, a rise of 2.7 %.

In seasonally-adjusted terms, social security system records 19,074,871 contributors in February

In seasonally-adjusted terms, the average number of national insurance contributors in February stood at 19,074,871, down 30,211 on the previous month. Since May 2020, the time of the greatest impact of the pandemic on the job market, 713,461 contributors have been recovered, in other words, 64% of the jobs shed between February and May.
