Government of Spain sends the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan to Brussels

On Tuesday, the Council of Ministers approved the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Spanish Economy, which it is today sending to Brussels for their assessment after having been presented by the President of the Government, of Spain Pedro Sánchez in the Congress of Deputies on 14 April.

The Plan includes the investments and reforms needed by the Spanish economy, with a major focus on green and digital transformation. The government's goal is a fairer society and a more resilient economy.

Spain will have access to a total of 140 billion euros between 2021 and 2026, of which 70 billion will be in the form of transfers.

According to the President of the Government, the #NextGenerationEU Funds and the mass vaccination strategy are key to recovering the economy and strengthening the European welfare model.
