The conference represents a space where leaders of all governments, together with international and regional organisations, financial and trade institutions, business, civil society and the UN System come together at the highest level, fostering stronger international cooperation.

The event in Seville will feature an extensive programme, which will include both official meetings and other parallel events and activities at different levels.

  • Defending the multilateral trading system and harnessing the potential of science, technology and innovation
  • Implementing a development-oriented sovereign debt architecture.
  • Reforming the international financial architecture and addressing systemic issues

Seville Platform for Action

The Seville Platform for Action will mobilise coalitions of countries and other actors to launch ambitious initiatives to address common challenges to achieving sustainable development. This package of concrete measures will reinforce the outcome of the conference outcome document.

The submission of initiatives will be made through the UN website. The deadline for submitting initiatives is 6 June 2025.

Parallel and special events

Participating countries, UN entities, intergovernmental organisations and other accredited actors may organise parallel events in addition to the main programme. At these events, participants will be able to discuss challenges in financing for development, share knowledge and solutions, exchange best practices or present their work in this field.

International Business Forum

The International Business Forum will be held in parallel to the Conference and will bring together heads of state and government, ministers, CEOs and global business leaders. The Forum will seek to promote solutions that attract private finance and investment in sustainable development.
