The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, highlighted the Government's commitment to the aerospace and automotive industries during his visit to Delta Vigo PTL Valladares, the Delta Group's industrial centre specialising in the manufacture of industrial components and systems for the aerospace sector, in Vigo (Pontevedra). This company, a leading player in the Galician aeronautical industry which works for major international manufacturers, has received support from European funds and is an example of the Government's commitment to the modernisation of Galician industry, technological innovation and quality employment.

The head of the Executive, accompanied by the Government Delegate, Pedro Blanco, and the Mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero, toured the company's facilities at the Vigo Technology and Logistics Park. As a recipient of European funding, the company has received 4.5 million euros from the PERTE Aerospace and 700,000 euros from the PERTE for the Development of Electric and Connected Vehicles (VEC), both part of the Recovery Plan, as well as 1.84 million euros from the ERDF.

Delta Vigo, which has four plants in Spain, posted a net profit of 3.57 million euros in 2025 and has invested over 60 million euros in R&D&i over the last seven years. The parent company of the Delta Group, founded 80 years ago as a shipyard, has specialised in the manufacture of components and technological products. Delta Vigo Aeroestructuras, together with Delta Illescas, are subsidiaries specialising in the aeronautical and aerospace industries. Of particular note is its collaboration with Airbus on the PEGASO+ project, which is researching the use of new materials and manufacturing techniques with the aim of designing a zero-emission aircraft.

The Government of Spain, through the PERTE VEC programme and its various calls for proposals, has invested more than 80 million euros in the province of Pontevedra. Furthermore, amongst other investments, through the PRTR funds and the National Innovation Agency (ENISA), 12 loans for SMEs and start-ups have been financed, totalling 2.5 million euros. In total, ENISA has invested 41.9 million euros in Galicia.
