Milagros Tolón swore her oath in the Salón de Audiencias of La Zarzuela Palace on a copy of the Constitution, in the presence of the King, the president of the Government of Spain and the Minister for the Presidency, Justice and Parliamentary Relations, Félix Bolaños, who acted as chief notary of the kingdom.

Also present at the ceremony were the President of the Constitutional Court, Cándido Conde-Pumpido, and the Director General of Legal Security and Public Faith, Ester Pérez.

After taking her oath, the new Minister for Education, Vocational Training, and Sports travelled to the headquarters of her ministry to receive the portfolio from her predecessor, Pilar Alegría.

The head of the Executive has confirmed in an official statement the fourth cabinet reshuffle of this legislative term, after informing King Felipe VI. The Official State Gazette (BOE) has published the appointment of Milagros Tolón as Minister for Education, Vocational Training, and Sports, replacing Pilar Alegría.

Likewise, as also published in the BOE, the Minister for Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz Delgado, will replace Pilar Alegría as Government Spokesperson.
