The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, this Saturday visited the facilities of the company CTLpack, in the Technology Park of Álava, in Miñano (Vitoria). The chief executive toured the plant of the company, which manufactures packaging for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry from post-consumer recycled material, thereby working on the development of circular solutions based on recycling methods.

During his visit, the President of the Government of Spain highlighted the value of the PERTE for Circular Economy, a strategic project which, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, seeks to accelerate the transition towards a more efficient and sustainable production system in the use of raw materials.
The PERTE for Circular Economy is endowed with €492 million of public funds, with which it seeks to increase the competitiveness of industrial sectors and business in general to ensure greater strategic autonomy for the country.
This strategic project develops two lines of action. First, actions in key sectors, such as textiles, plastics and capital goods for the renewable energy industry, with a budget of €300 million.

And second, transversal actions to promote the circular economy, with an allocation of €192 million, aimed at all productive sectors, to promote sustainability and circularity in industrial and business processes with the aim of improving the competitiveness and innovation of the industrial fabric within the framework of a circular economy that goes beyond the previous linear production model.
