Spain and Portugal submit their joint bid to host the football World Cup in 2030

The event was attended by Ministers José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes and Tiago Brandâo Rodrígues from Spain and Portugal, and the presidents of both countries' football federations, who renewed the commitment of both institutions to work together, that was initialled in 2020 in Lisbon.

The Iberian candidacy, which shows the deep and historical relations of both countries, friends and neighbours, was signed minutes before the start of the first friendly match - a warm up before Euro 2020 - between the Spanish and Portuguese teams.
