Pedro Sánchez chairs a new coordination meeting on the evolving situation in Ceuta

The head of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, chaired a new coordination meeting, held via videoconference, on the current situation in the Autonomous City of Ceuta, which was also attended by the First Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Minister for Economy, Trade and Business, Carlos Cuerpo; the Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares; the Minister for Defence, Margarita Robles; the Minister for Home Affairs, Fernando Grande-Marlaska; the Minister for Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres; the Minister for Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz; and the Minister for Youth and Children, Sira Rego.

As in the meeting held on 7 August, the President of the Government of Spain and the ministers reviewed the various actions being taken to address this crisis - in collaboration with regional institutions and other organisations - as well as the measures needed to continue strengthening security and well-being guarantees for the population of Ceuta, while simultaneously reinforcing efforts to identify and assist migrants still in the autonomous city.
