The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has held a meeting with the CEO of SAPA, Jokin Aperribay, accompanied by the company's Vice-President, Ibon Aperribay, to analyse the security and defence company's investments and projects in Spain, Europe and the USA.

Representatives of the company, which specialises in mobility systems and transmissions for military vehicles, thanked the government for its collaboration and participation in various programmes, such as the Special Modernisation Programmes (PEM), as well as those of the European Union and NATO. The Executive spoke of the leadership of Spanish industry in technological fields within the security and defence sector.

SAPA, which in Spain has its headquarters in Andoain (Guipúzcoa), announced last February an investment of 12 to 18 million euros for a new R&D technology centre in Jaén. The new centre is expected to be fully operational in 2026 and to generate more than 60 highly skilled jobs in the coming years. It also presented its expansion plan for Europe and the United States, where it has won major international projects.
