During the meeting, Pedro Sánchez conveyed Spain's commitment to this organisation, and expressed the Government of Spain's willingness to collaborate in the definition of UNICEF's Strategic Plan 2026-2029, which is currently under development.

He also emphasised the importance of the organisation's participation in the IV International Conference on Financing for Development to be held in Seville from 30 June to 3 July.

Pedro Sánchez said that the event will be an opportunity to demonstrate that it is possible to update the multilateral system to face current challenges and reach firm commitments for international financial cooperation on sustainable development.
