Moncloa Palace, Madrid

Pedro Sánchez has conveyed to Hillary Clinton his willingness to continue collaborating with the US on various issues, such as the reform of the international financial architecture, the fight against the climate emergency, artificial intelligence and Latin America.

They also discussed the importance of defending democracy, which is being systematically attacked in Europe and America by populism through the dehumanisation of political opponents, manipulation and disinformation, an issue that the President of the Government had the opportunity to discuss in depth with the President of the US, Joe Biden, during his visit to Washington on 12 May.

Hillary Clinton was the first woman candidate for the presidency of the US, and to this effect, President Sánchez highlighted both the example that her figure sets today for girls and women all over the world and the value of the feminist policies promoted by the Government of Spain.
