Pedro Sánchez takes part in the centenary celebration of Construcciones Aeronáuticas (CASA)

The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, attended the central commemorative ceremony of the creation one hundred years ago of Construcciones Aeronáuticas S.A. (CASA), currently integrated into Airbus, presided over by H.M. The King.

The event, held at the Getafe plant (Madrid), was also attended by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, and the Minister for Defence, Margarita Robles.

Airbus has also inaugurated the Step-2 space facility, home to space-related activities for the development, assembly, integration and testing of new generation satellites, equipment, instruments, structures and satellite payloads.

Together with H.M. the King, the president visited the facilities at the Getafe plant, including the manufacturing and assembly line for the structures of the European Space Agency (ESA) Ariane 6 launcher.
