After the inauguration, the chief executive held meetings with representatives of leading companies in the connectivity sector, with whom he shared the government's commitment to making digital transformation a strategic axis for modernising the economy through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

In his meeting with the CEO of Orange, Christel Heydemann, the president stressed the importance of public-private collaboration to consolidate Spain's leading position in the 5G revolution, which is key to boosting social and territorial cohesion and achieving universal coverage through European funds.

Pedro Sánchez also met with Meta's Chief Operating Officer, Javier Oliván, and the President of Global Affairs, Nick Clegg, to whom he highlighted the commitment and investment effort of the technology company in Spain, in line with the government's objective of consolidating a digital transformation focused on people and based on the development of disruptive technologies.

In addition, the President of the Government, together with the President and CEO of Cisco Systems, Chuck Robbins, reviewed the progress of the company's new investment in Barcelona.
