Moncloa Palace, Madrid

The celebration of the 30th NATO Summit in Madrid coincides with the 40th anniversary of Spain's accession to the Atlantic Alliance, which took place on May 30, 1982.

Tomorrow Monday, Madrid's Teatro Real will host a commemorative ceremony presided over by King Felipe VI, which will be attended by the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

The NATO Summit in June will also be the second to be held in Madrid. Twenty-five years ago, in July 1997, the Spanish capital hosted its fourteenth edition.
