Pedro Sánchez highlights Spain's attractiveness as a destination for digital investment in a meeting with the president of Microsoft

At the meeting, they discussed the company's future plans in Spain, where it has been established since 1988. In particular, they exchanged views on cloud and data policy, solutions for digital skills and employability, as well as the development of artificial intelligence applications to enhance the Spanish language in line with the rules of the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) for the training of machine learning systems.

The president of the Government of Spain thanked Microsoft for its long-standing and fruitful relationship with Spain and underlined how our country currently represents an ideal framework for investments related to digital transformation.

The forthcoming opening of a data centre region, the Artificial Intelligence R&D Hub that Microsoft recently opened and the digitalisation projects of the Spanish public administration reinforce the company's commitment to Spain.

The Government will also continue to work with Microsoft and other digital leaders on bridging the digital talent gap and fostering employability, seeking to better match the skills of the country's abundant talent with the needs of leading technology companies.
