The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, this Saturday met with representatives of the tourism sector in the Canary Islands, at the main office of the Government Delegation in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, to announce the approval, at the next Council of Ministers, of a historic investment of 615 million euros in Tourism Sustainability Plans, which will benefit the destinations and their offering, as well as the companies that make Spain a leading country in tourism.

"Spain is a world leader in tourism and we want it to remain so. To achieve this, we must focus on modernising the sector and on sustainable tourism", stressed the head of the Executive, in his commitment to ensure that European funds reach all Spaniards so as to achieve a fair recovery.
