Sánchez and Guterres addressed numerous issues of shared interest, such as Spain's commitment to the UN, the evolution of the pandemic, the fight against climate change and multilateralism.

In this sense, the Government of Spain, fully committed to the multilateral approach, promoted in late 2020 'Together for a strengthened multilateralism', an initiative co-sponsored by Sweden to support the objectives of the declaration for the 75th anniversary of the UN and the report 'Our Common Agenda', recently presented by Guterres.

The text calls for improving the global health system; protecting the planet; reducing inequality and leaving no one behind; building peace, security and justice; upholding human rights and gender equality; harnessing the digital revolution; and ensuring sustainable financing.
