The meeting of the managing body that coordinates the actions - CECOD - was chaired on Wednesday morning by the President of the Government from the headquarters of the Directorate-General of Civil Protection, which was also attended by the Ministers for Home Affairs, Fernando Grande Marlaska, and for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, José Luis Ábalos.

Since the Ministry of Home Affairs declared the pre-emergency phase under operational situation 1 on Thursday, the Directorate-General of Civil Protection and Emergencies has arranged the deployment of 28,000 officers of the State law enforcement agencies, 2,000 armed forces servicemen, 685 members of the Directorate-General of Traffic, 3,000 operators from the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda and 1,300 snow ploughs that have worked tirelessly in such tasks as providing help to people, guaranteeing essential services and goods and assistance to the emergency services.
