Pedro Sánchez visits police officers injured during violent unrest in Barcelona

Early on Monday morning, the acting President of the Government was accompanied by the acting Minister for Home Affairs, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, and the Central Government Representative, Teresa Cunillera, on a visit to the Regional Police Headquarters in Catalonia. In a short speech of encouragement to officers, he expressed gratitude for their professionalism and dedication to public service.

The Acting President of the Government then travelled to the Sagrat Cor and Sant Pau hospitals to visit the police officers receiving medical care and enquired about their injuries. He conveyed the Government of Spain's full support as well as that of society in general for their contribution to ensuring security and coexistence in order to overcome this "public order crisis".
