President of the Government attends funeral for victims of rail accident in Angrois

The funeral was officiated by the Archbishop of Santiago de Compostela, Julián Barrio, accompanied by the bishops of the various dioceses in Galicia.

The ceremony, presided over by the Prince and Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Elena, was also attended by the President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, and the President of the Regional Government of Galicia, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

It was also attended by the Minister for Public Works, Ana Pastor; the Minister for Justice, Alberto Ruiz Gallardón; and the Minister for Home Affairs, Jorge Fernández Díaz, as well as the presidents of various regional governments, ambassadors and representatives of high-ranking State institutions.

Representatives of the professionals mobilised as a result of the accident and dozens of residents of Angrois who collaborated in the rescue efforts were also present in the cathedral accompanying the families of the victims.
