President of the Government begins his tour of China and Singapore with a meeting with Wen Jiabao, Premier of the People's Republic of China

José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero began his tour of the People's Republic of China and Singapore by meeting with the Premier of the People's Republic of China, Wen Jiabao, which was followed by a meeting with Vice-Premier Li Keqiang.

At their meeting, the Chinese Premier, Wen Jiabao, committed with the President of the Spanish Government to invest in restructuring the savings banks and to continue buying Spanish debt as it did in 2010.

Among other issues, the meetings between the President of the Government and the two leaders focused on bilateral relations between Spain and China, relations between the European Union and China, the crisis in Japan, the situation in Libya and the upcoming G-20 Summit.

Furthermore, the Chinese leaders provided José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero with an analysis of Chinese relations with North Korea and South Korea.
