Jordi Hereu invites Chery to apply to PERTE VEC III for the development of its investments in Spain

To this end, Hereu has invited Chery to apply for the PERTE VEC III call, which is about to be launched by the Ministry of Industry, both in the line of batteries and in the value chain, with a total allocation of 500 million euros, as well as for the fourth call of this PERTE for the second half of the year, which will have €1.25 billion.
In total, more than 1.7 billion that the automotive sector can apply for in order to achieve this goal of connected and sustainable mobility.
Hereu reiterated the Government's commitment to decarbonisation and to the electrification of mobility. This is why a large part of the European Funds is being dedicated to the automotive sector, with the largest industrial programme to support the automotive industry.
Finally, Hereu gave his assurance that all the ministries involved are working on a new plan to support the purchase of electric vehicles and expand the charging infrastructure.
Chery and Ebro signed an agreement on 19 April to produce 150,000 cars by 2029 at the Zona Franca facilities in Barcelona with an investment of some 500 million euros and the creation of more than 1,000 jobs.
