The Ministry of Defence, through the General Defence Hospital in Zaragoza, and the Ministry of Health, through the National Institute of Health Management (INGESA), have promoted intensive training for medical personnel from Ukraine, which will go on for two weeks.

This training process focuses on specialising Ukrainian medical personnel in the implantation of external limb prostheses.

The aim is to quickly recruit new experts in Ukrainian rehabilitation and prosthetics centres, as there is currently a shortage of these specialists in the war-torn country. The intensive training is being given in small groups and began this Tuesday at Zaragoza's Hospital General de la Defensa.

The Ministry of Defence has also collaborated in the transfer to Spain of medical personnel from Ukraine, and in accommodation and maintenance.
