Spain's Minister for Health highlights the work carried out by the CISNS Vaccines Committee in the face of COVID-19

The Minister for Health awarded a distinction to each of the teams making up the Vaccines Committee, the Expert COVID-19 Vaccination Work Group, as well as all the members of the Vaccination Programmes Area at the Ministry of Health, responsible for coordinating and monitoring the preparation of the Strategy.

Carolina Darias thanked all the members of the Committee for the great work carried out, as well as the continual advisory work given at each stage of the pandemic; guidance and reference work when adopting the various decisions taken on vaccination within the Inter-Territorial Health Council.

Together we have vaccinated an entire country.

The Minister for Health recalled the good results achieved in Spain under the Vaccination Campaign, whose achievements she credited the Committee as jointly responsible for and which she encouraged to continue to acting as a "beacon of light".

Here she pointed out some of the future COVID-19 vaccination challenges under a continually updated Strategy and the goal vaccinating the whole of humanity against SARS-CoV-2.

The Minister for Health, Carolina Darias, was joined by the Secretary of State for Health, Silvia Calzón, and the Director General for Public Health, Pilar Aparicio, in presenting each of the Committee's members with a reproduction of an engraving entilted 'Enramados', a work by Juanita Bagés Villaneda, in appreciation of their COVID-19 work.
