Social Security registered 3,096,015 foreign contributors in the original series, the highest figure in the historical series, after adding 25,184 more contributors in June 2025, a third of the total employment created.

This is 1,069,456 more foreign contributors than in June 2018, representing 14.2% of the system's contributors. In fact, since the labour reform, 40.6% of the employment created corresponds to workers of foreign origin.

Women now account for 43.4% of all foreign workers, with 1,342,624 foreign female contributors in the system.

In the seasonally adjusted series, the number stands at 2,991,623 people (+19,537 compared with May 2025), which represents almost 14% of the total number of contributors.

The Minister for Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, said: "Spain needs the talent and contribution of those who choose our country to live and work. The figures show that one out of every seven national insurance contributors is of foreign origin. This reality tells us that the growth of our country is built with the contribution and effort of all workers, regardless of nationality, and strengthens us as a society".
