The Minister for Youth and Children, Sira Rego, has met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba, Inés María Chapman Waugh, in the framework of the Financing for Development Summit in Seville, organised by the United Nations with the aim of addressing common challenges in the fight against child poverty, youth participation and digital environments.

In the context of the cuts in the global budget for cooperation, Sira Rego stressed that Spain is committed to allocating 0.7% of GDP to cooperation by 2030. The minister also pointed out that the US embargo on Cuba directly affects the island's development and its policies for children and young people.
