Isabel Rodríguez receives the Minister of Municipal, Rural and Housing Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Meeting between the Minister for Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez, and the Minister of Municipal, Rural and Housing Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Majed Al Hogail

During the meeting, she thanked the minister for the interest he has shown in the Government of Spain's housing policies. Rodríguez gave a presentation on the housing situation in Spain and the solutions proposed by the Executive to meet the demand of the public with the collaboration of other institutions and the private sector, where she took the opportunity to highlight the dynamism of Spanish companies in the construction sector and their involvement in the country's housing policies.

The minister also took the opportunity to highlight that Saudi Arabia is a vitally important economic partner for Spain, as highlighted by the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, during his recent visit to the country. Finally, the minister outlined the general lines of action and objectives carried out by MIVAU, highlighting the main achievements in the first 150 days since the executive of the 15th Legislature was formed.

For his part, Minister Al Hogail, and the delegation that accompanied him, showed interest in urban planning, the design of more sustainable cities through the urban agenda and projects to increase the supply of housing in our country.

Accompanying the minister were the Undersecretary for Housing and the Urban Agenda, María de los Llanos Castellanos, the director of the Minister's office, Eva Cuesta, the director general for Urban Agenda and Architecture, María Teresa Verdú, and the director general for Planning and Evaluation, Ana Berenguer.

Al-Mogrin, the President of the Spanish-Saudi Business Council, Khalid Alhogail, the Charge General of the HE Office, Hamad Alhabrdi, the Charge General of International Cooperation and Partnerships, Abdulaziz Samman, the Director of the Department of Bilateral Relations, Hani Alghayhab, the H.E secretary, Naif Alabdali, and the specialist in Bilateral Relations, Sara Alkhuwaiter.
