Spain and Brazil promote collaborative projects in innovation and technological development

The Spanish Minister for Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, and the Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos, have signed a letter of intent for greater and better coordination of bilateral technological development and innovation projects between institutions and companies in the two countries.

Morant stated that this agreement gives a new impetus to the bilateral scientific and innovation relationship between the two countries and embodies the will that this coordination is to serve our present and future societies and takes place in priority areas such as health research, climate change and energy transition.

The agreement also seeks to ensure that projects of common interest to Brazil and Spain receive the necessary funding from the public authorities of both countries.

The signing of this letter of intent is part of the meeting between the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, and the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, at the Moncloa Palace.
