The Government of Spain congratulates Gabriel Boric on his victory in Chile's presidential election

The Government welcomes the opening of this new phase in which it hopes to work closely with the new Colombian Government on constructing social, just and sustainable policies, as well as on peace building and respect for and protection of the environment.

Spain and Colombia are united by close fraternal ties and by a strategic partnership within the framework of the Ibero-American Community of Nations. The Government therefore expresses its desire to be able to continue deepening the solid bilateral relationship with the new Colombian authorities and fruitful collaboration in the Ibero-American and multilateral spheres in favour of our societies and the Ibero-American Community of Nations.
