Our country has become, for the second year running, the European Union nation to receive the most funding for staff under this round of proposals. The MSCA-IF-2020 round of proposals has a budget of 328 million euros, of which Spain has obtained 33.3 million (17.33% of total)

This programme, which seeks to train and recruit researchers with experience to carry out individual projects with a duration of 12 to 36 months, in an international and inter-sector framework, will allow 1,630 scientists to be hired, of which 209 will work at Spanish centres.

Since 2014, more than 9,460 research projects in total have been funded under the rounds of proposals of the MSCA Individual Actions programme, 1,100 of which have been at Spanish institutions, with Spain having received close to 190 million euros.

On 8 February, the preliminary results of the latest Individual Fellowships round of proposals of the MSCA Actions (H2020-MSCA-IF-2020) of the Horizon 2020 Programme were published.
