Spain condemns the arrests of the staff at their embassy and the searches of the homes of personnel attached to the embassy, acts which contravene the obligations contained in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
Spain reiterates its conviction that the multidimensional crisis affecting Venezuela requires a negotiated way out, headed up by the Venezuelan people, that leads to presidential and parliamentary elections with all due democratic guarantees. Spain reiterates its interest in helping in this process.
