Spain has performed more than 7 million PCR tests since start of pandemic

Over the last seven days, between 28 August and 3 September, the regional governments have performed 626,262 PCR tests. This is a 10% increase in the number of this type of test performed, to stand at a rate of 149.53 PCR tests per 1,000 inhabitants.

In addition, the regional governments have also reported a total of 2,285,059 rapid antibody tests, 45,619 of them between 28 August and 3 September, at a rate of 48.51 tests per 1,000 inhabitants.

Furthermore, 659,472 antibody blood tests have also been performed, 105,108 from 28 August to 3 September, 19% up on the previous week, at a rate of 14 per 1,000 inhabitants.

In total, 9,987,326 diagnostic tests for COVID-19 have been performed since the start of the epidemic, of which 776,989 correspond to the week up to 3 September.
