In the Blue Zone
Close to 70 activities will make up the official programme at the Spain Pavilion at COP25
News - 2019.11.29
Around 200 proposals were received for events at the Spain Pavilion of which 69 were included on the agenda.
The proposals received fundamentally come from ministerial departments, foundations, associations, companies, universities, NGOs and other agents of civil society, and will include national and international speakers. Ministers, scientists, students, activists, business leaders, representatives of institutions, etc., will all be given a voice as part of the scheduled activities, and those who are unable to be physically present will be able to participate remotely as each day the social media (@mitecogob) will ask for questions to be submitted for the following day's events, to introduce them into the debate.
There are events related to inter-generational justice, more sustainable cities, innovating technologies in the key sectors of decarbonisation, oceans and risk management in coastal regions, gender, health, electro-mobility as a vector of climate action, sustainable finance and the just transition.
Each day will begin with a coffee morning where young people from Europe and Latin American can exchange experiences and demands, and will end with examples of successful initiatives presented in an innovative format as part of the chats entitled 'Did YA know?' in reference to the slogan of the Spanish delegation at this COP of "YA es tiempo de actuar por el planeta" [NOW is the time to act to save the planet].
The agenda of activities at the Spain Pavilion will be available on the web page of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition. Accredited journalists will receive the daily newsletter "Tomorrow at the COP25" with the most noteworthy events of the following day, both in the Blue Zone and in the Green Zone.
