State Secretary for Foreign Affairs meets with directors of United Nations agencies and entities in Spain

The meeting was attended by representatives from the ILO, WFO, UNESCO, UNICEF, UNRWA, UNHCR, IOM, WFP, UNWTO, UN-Habitat, the United Nations Information and Communication Technologies Task Force and UNITAR.

The meeting was used to convey to the representatives of the different agencies and entities a message of support for the fundamental work of the United Nations throughout the world to foster peace, international cooperation and human rights.

Spain maintains a decisive commitment to multilateralism in the conviction that in today's world, current problems can only be resolved through active and constructive cooperation from the whole of the international community. The United Nations constitutes the keystone of multilateral governance and the Government of Spain wishes to expressly acknowledge its work.

Spain fully supports the priorities and reforms of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, who seeks to achieve a more connected, coordinated, coherent, sustainable and prepared system in order to contribute to achieving the 2030 Agenda.
