The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Affairs is taking part in the China Fisheries & Seafood Expo 2016, held in the city of Qingdao from 2 to 4 November, where it will offer its support to those Spanish companies that supply fishery and aquaculture products.

To that end, the 100 m2 institutional stand will include the presence of the National Association of Producers of Fisheries and Seafood Conserves (Spanish acronym: ANFACO- CECOPESCA), the Business Association of Spanish Producers of Marine Cultures (Spanish acronym: APROMAR) and the Spanish Association of Wholesalers, Importers, Transformers and Exporters of Fishery and Aquaculture Products (Spanish acronym: CONXEMAR).

These associate entities will be accompanied by different companies from various sub-sectors involved in the supply chain of fresh, frozen and transformed fishery products and marine aquaculture products, involving the show-casing of quality and innovative products, highlighting fresh 5th range products, packaged using the skin pack method and ready for consumption.

Over the course of these days, the ministry will organise an agenda of business meetings, open to all those Spanish companies taking part in the trade fair, drawing up lists of possible trading partners according to the needs of each one of them, with a selection of those contacts from among importers, agents and distributors that are best suited to these needs.

The agenda includes the arrangement of individual interviews with importers from China and other countries, reports on products and services in the target market, and practical information on the country of origin.
The consumption of seafood and fisheries products in China is increasing at an annual rate of 10%.
