The closing ceremony was presided over by Division General Husein Tursunovic, Head of Logistics Support of the Bosnian Army and by Brigade General Fernando Enseñat, Secretary-General of the Training and Doctrine Command (Spanish acronym: MADOC) of the Spanish Army.

During the course of the ceremony, a military parade was held in which the Spanish and Bosnian national anthems were played before a closing speech by Brigadier Ilija Petrovic, Head of the Bosnian Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and Lieutenant Colonel José Luis Sales, Head of EAT, who ended his speech by presenting a Spanish flag to the Bosnian unit of TRADOC where they have provided their services over the last six months.

The EAT mission was carried out through nine rotations over the last four and a half years, with the aim of advising the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in order to attain the necessary inter-operability and standardisations with NATO and the European Union.

Spain, however, will continue to maintain military representation in Bosnia through its participation in the General Headquarters of EUFOR, which is deployed in Sarajevo.
