The twelve ministers and the ten ministers of the coalition government promised to "faithfully fulfil the duties of their office, with loyalty to the king, and to keep and uphold the Constitution" in the presence of a copy of the fundamental rule of the state. The first was the Minister for the Presidency, Justice and Parliamentary Relations, who acted as notary major of the Kingdom for the rest of the ceremony.

The ceremony was also attended by the President of the Lower House of Parliament, Francina Armengol; the President of the Upper House of Parliament, Pedro Rollán; the President of the Constitutional Court, Cándido Conde-Pumpido and the President of the General Council of the Judiciary, Vicente Guilarte.

It was followed by the handover of portfolios from the outgoing to the new heads at the headquarters of the respective ministerial departments.

The first Council of Ministers of the Government of the 15th Legislature will be held tomorrow, 22 November, at Moncloa Palace.

Publication in the Official State Gazette

The Official State Gazette (BOE) publishes today the Royal Decree restructuring the ministerial departments and those relating to the four vice-presidencies of the Government.

Also published were the appointments of the first, second, third and fourth vice presidents the rest of the ministers, and the designation of the Minister for Education, Vocational Training and Sport as the Government Spokesperson.
