Pedro Sánchez receives UGT Executive Committee for trade union's 130th anniversary

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, received a delegation from the Confederal Executive Committee of the General Union of Workers (Spanish acronym: UGT) led by its General Secretary, José María Álvarez. The reason for this visit was to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the trade union being formed.

At the meeting, the delegation presented Pedro Sánchez with a commemorative sculpture bearing the UGT logo framed by the words "igualdad, solidaridad, derechos y empleo - equality, solidarity, rights and employment". After the meeting, the trade union leaders were given a tour of the premises opened by the Government of Spain to the public as part of its Moncloa Abierta - Moncloa Open Doors programme, including the room where the Council of Ministers is held every Friday.
