"Dear President,

I would like to extend my sincere and warm congratulations on the results achieved by our athletes at the World Para Athletics Championships held in London. The gold medal, three silver medals and seven bronze medals won by the Spanish athletes demonstrate the tenacity, talent and desire to excel they bring to the field.

I ask that you pass on my congratulations to all the federations that took part in the World Championships and, naturally, to all the attending athletes, especially Gerard Descárrega, Marcos Blanquiño, Joan Munar, Deliber Rodríguez, Sara Andrés and Kim López, who won the medals.

With each new performance, Paralympic athletes show themselves to be a fine example of the finest values in sport and are a beacon for all Spaniards to follow. Hence, we will continue to support Paralympic sport, enjoy their victories and work to consolidate this growing trend in the number of medals won at international competitions that we proudly celebrate today.

Congratulations to everyone".
