Mariano Rajoy receives Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Vatican

Moncloa Palace, Madrid

On the occasion of his pastoral visit celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, the Secretary of State of the Vatican, His Eminence Monsignor Cardinal Pietro Parolin, met with the acting President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, at Moncloa Palace on Friday morning.

Their conversation focused on bilateral relations between the Holy See and Spain, as well as international political affairs, including the refugee and migrant situation.

The meeting was also attended by the acting Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, José Manuel García-Margallo.
