Upper House, Madrid

During the meeting, the President of the Government offered to do everything in his power to try to clear up the disappearance of the youth.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has offered its full support to the family of Hodei Eguiluz ever since they called on the government to intervene and it is redirecting the matter towards international legal cooperation so that the Spanish police can directly collaborate in the investigation in Belgium

The meeting between Mariano Rajoy and the father of the youth took place in the Upper House of Parliament prior to the government control session. Also present at the meeting were the Minister for Home Affairs, Jorge Fernández Díaz, and the Mayor of Galdakao (Biscay).

At the start of the plenary session, the Upper House approved an institutional declaration expressing its "full solidarity and support for the family of the youth who disappeared and its wish to collaborate to the extent of its powers and possibilities in helping to find the young man".
