At this difficult time, the Government and people of Spain convey their solidarity to the Government and people of Turkey. Turkey is fully aware that it can always count on Spain to help fight the terrorist threat, which must be defeated by the work of the law enforcement agencies, action by the justice system and the rule of law, and by international cooperation.
For the time being, there is no news of any Spanish people killed or injured in the attack, but our consulate in Istanbul and embassy in Ankara remain in close contact with the Turkish authorities.
