Planas praises the EU-UK fisheries agreement because "it gives security to Spanish fishermen"

The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, has expressed his satisfaction with the agreement on fishing in shared waters between the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom, approved by the Council, because "it gives Spanish fishermen certainty about the catches available to them until the end of the year, and meets their demands".

The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, has conveyed Spain's support for the fisheries pre-agreement verbally reached between the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom, which will allow the national fleet fishing in British waters to maintain its current catch quotas for 2021 and those for deep-sea species for 2021 and 2022.
