Seville

The head of the Government of Spain has reaffirmed the government's firm commitment to the aerospace sector and has highlighted the boost given to this sector by the designation of Seville as the headquarters of the Spanish Space Agency.

During his visit to the Skylife facilities, Pedro Sánchez learned about the work of this Andalusian company, which forms part of the industrial innovation ecosystem around the aerospace sector in Seville, highlighting the opportunity opened up to the development of this industry by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

In the framework of the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) Aerospace, investments for the positioning of our country as one of the main centres of technological and industrial production in the aerospace sector exceed €2.4 billion. The commitment to the aerospace sector is also evidenced by the increase of the Spanish quota to the European Space Agency (ESA) in 2023, which has a direct effect on the development of the sector in Spain.

In addition, Skylife, a beneficiary of the Voucher Digital Kit for SMEs, is taking part in innovative projects of great technological value, such as the Recovery Plan project led by Wallbox for the development of a new public, sustainable, modular and ultra-fast electric recharging system, with a total subsidy of nearly €3 million. To this end, this Andalusian company has received more than €788,000 as part of the call for proposals of the Sustainable Automotive Technology Programme 2021 of the PERTE for Electric and Connected Vehicles.
