The President of the Government conveyed his desire to reach a grand pact for the reform of regional financing with the main opposition party to Moreno Bonilla, from whom he has demanded, like other political parties, a constructive attitude.

With regard to the Recovery Plan funds, approved yesterday by the European Commission, the head of the Executive conveyed the guarantee of co-governance in the distribution to the Andalusian president, thanks to the participation of the regional governments in the various Sectoral Conferences, where decisions will be taken on the use of the 70 billion euros that will arrive from Europe in the coming years.

The meeting also served to highlight the fact that Andalusia, like the other regional governments, had the largest resources in its history in 2020 and 2021. Last year, Andalusia received 4.122 billion more than it would have received without the extraordinary measures approved by the central government such as the Covid Fund for regional governments.

In addition to expressing their mutual satisfaction with the suspension of US tariffs, both agreed on the radical importance of the tourism sector for our country's economy, where Spain has made very significant efforts to guarantee the safe arrival of tourists to our country, from the approval and successive extensions of the ERTEs, which cover workers in the sector, to the activation from 1 July of the EU's Digital COVID Certificate, which will facilitate the transit of travellers.

This is the first private meeting since the election in Andalusia, postponed due to issues arising from the pandemic and successive elections in 2019, was complementary to the meetings that the two have already had in the 17 conferences of presidents that they have shared.
