In the same period, 23-29 April, the regional governments carried out 293,056 antigen tests (an average of 41,865 per day). Added to the PCR tests performed, this gives a total of 871,078 tests done in this period, 124,439 per day. This is a 2% increase in the number of tests done, at a rate of 859.07 per 1,000 inhabitants.
New techniques are progressively being developed to diagnose SARS-CoV-2, such as the rapid antigen tests that Health Departments are introducing to manage the pandemic.
