Spain has performed more than 3.4 million PCR tests since start of epidemic

Over the last seven days of notifications, between 19 and 25 June, the regional governments have increased their capacity to perform this type of diagnostic testing by 5%. Furthermore, the PCR rate to date has grown to stand at 73.68 tests per 1,000 inhabitants.

Together with the PCR diagnostic tests performed, the regional governments have also reported that a total of 1,941,110 rapid antibody tests have been performed, at a rate of 41.21 tests per 1,000 inhabitants, and a rise of 4% on the number the previous week.

For the first time, the antibody blood tests performed have also been included, a total of 37,744, at a rate of 0.8 per 1,000 inhabitants.

In total, 5,448,984 diagnostic tests for COVID-19 have been performed since the start of the epidemic, of which 286,075 were in the last week.
