Following this Council of Ministers at Zarzuela Palace, Pedro Sánchez will chair the ordinary cabinet meeting, with decision-making powers, at Moncloa Palace.
The meetings of the Council of Ministers chaired by the monarch are provided for under Article 62 of the Spanish Constitution, which contains the powers that correspond to the King. These include "being informed as to State affairs and chairing, to this end, meetings of the Council of Ministers, when considered opportune, at the request of the President of the Government".
